Frederiksberg Painting Restoration has existed since 2004, and is a state-of-the-art restoration and conservation workshop at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen.

 

We are trained conservators and carry out all types of conservation, cleaning and restoration of all types of paintings, icons and graphic works (i.e. watercolours, lithographs, engravings, prints etc.) for both private individuals and institutions.

 

We are happy to clean and restore ALL kinds of paintings, even the small and unknown artists.

Frederiksberg Painting Restoration has more than 20 years of experience in the restoration of paintings, icons and graphic works (prints, watercolours, lithographs etc.). We offer professional and gentle treatment of all kinds of damage that your work may have suffered.

 

Most often, the following treatments are carried out on works:

 

  • Cleaning for surface dirt (dust, tobacco smoke/nicotine, soot, insect remains, etc.)

  • Cleaning for varnish (yellowed, decomposed, water damaged, etc.)

  • Retouching of damage

  • Repair of loose paint layer and dents

  • Repair of rips, tears and holes

  • Planning of bulges and deformities

Attention is drawn to the fact that each work is unique and is treated with consideration for the work's original materials. The paintings are handled and stored according to all responsible regulations.
